The Design Ecology studio is located 32 miles north of San Francisco, on a 55 acre site that includes research facilities and a demonstration garden. In addition to professional design services, our team conducts ongoing research to create innovative solutions for effective light-weight roof soils, vegetated walls, passive stormwater management, water recycling applications, and carbon sequestering soil and grow media. Our staff works closely with an on-site native nursery to ensure availability of high quality plant material that is appropriate to each site we work on. Design Ecology also enjoys a strategic relationship with Bertotti Landscaping to implement design/build living architecture services through a single point of contact for LEAN project delivery, LEED certification, and high quality implementation of complex construction applications.
